Basianshan Nature Center
Situated in the Basianshan National Forest Recreation Area, which was the Basianshan Forest Farm in the early days, had once been called one of the three biggest forest farms in Taiwan, the other two were Taipingshan Forest Farm and Alishan Forest Farm. The peak of Basianshan reaches 2,424 meters above sea level, equal to 8,000 meters in Taiwanese unit of measurement, the mountain is thus named after Japanese pronunciation of 8,000. Surrounded by numerous mountains, with diverse plant species and abundant rainfall, this area is biologically rich in forest resources. The running through of Shiwen and Jiabau Creeks also carves a vast landscape of river terraces in this area.

1. Non-holiday visitors.
2. Those who are riding on public transportation and hold a ticket stub.
3. Purchase of 20 or more full-price tickets.
Half-price ticket: NT$75 for
1. Military and police personnel holding ID cards.
2. Students (with student ID card) and children (7 to 12 years old).
3. Those who provide relief to the bereaved family members due to official duties and hold a certificate.
4. Citizens of the county (city) where the amusement park is located (Taichung citizens) who hold certification documents.
Discounted tickets are NT$10 for
1. Those aged 65 or above with proof of attendance.
2. Children (3 to 6 years old).
3. Outdoor teaching for primary school students other than on holidays, organized by the school, led by teachers and with an official letter.

National Hwy. 1 or 3→National Hwy. 4→Fongyuan Interchange→Provincial Hwy. 3→Dongshih→Provincial Hwy. 8→Guguan (Duming Bridge)→Follow signs to the left.
By Bus(weekdays)

By Bus(weekends)
Fengyuan Bus Route 269 (Guguan-Baxianshan Forest Recreation Area). One in the morning and one in the afternoon, Guguan (10:40, 14:20), Baxianshan (10:55, 14:35).
Note: Get off at the toll station, buy a ticket, and continue taking the bus up the mountain.

Eight Scenic Spots Monument
During the Japanese colonial period, in 1927 (Showa 2), the Taiwan Daily News held a vote to determine the new "Eight Scenic Spots of Taiwan" through bidding. The eight scenic spots that stood out were: Asahikawa in Keelung, Tamsui, Basianshan, Sun Moon Lake, Alishan, Shoushan, Emanbi, and Taroko Gorge.

Jinghai Temple
It was built during the Dajia Branch Office era and is the faith center for forest workers. Before going up the mountain, the workers would pray for blessings and peace here.

Shrine ruins
In the 4th year of the Republic of China, a shrine was built on Jiabaotai to commemorate the employees and their families who died in the forest farm. The shrine was destroyed by fire after the restoration, and the remaining stone base was destroyed in the 921 earthquake in 1999.
