Featured Landscape
Baoan Forest
Baoan Forest is located on the north side of Chukou Nature Education Center. Many birds, insects, frogs and reptiles can be seen flying around in it. There is a walking trail inside for education, recreation and ecological observation.
Featured Landscape
Ecological Pond
The ecological pond is the end point of the waterway in the park and is constructed using ecological methods. The area, shape, depth, bottom and slope of the pond, as well as the plants planted, have all been carefully considered and configured to create a habitat landscape close to nature to attract nearby wild animals to inhabit.
Featured Landscape
Ecological waterway
The ecological waterway system in the park was built using ecological engineering methods. It is formed by two water sources drawn from nearby ravines and ends at the ecological pool on the west side of the park. It has the functions of regulating the park's microclimate, increasing biological microhabitats and beautifying the environment. In order to maintain the dredging of the waters within the ecological park, construction methods are adopted that try not to damage the original ecology (mainly using medium and large stones), and many pores are added for organisms to hide, so the biological resources are quite rich.
Featured Landscape
Fire Lookout
In the early days, the Forestry and Conservation Department set up a forest fire lookout on the top of the mountain to prevent forest fires. The replica of the traditional lookout tower in the park has the significance of preserving forestry culture and can also be used for educational interpretation.

The first floor is an office, and the second floor is a conference room and multimedia projection room.
Park Facilities
Extreme energy-saving stove
This stove uses low-carbon methods as much as possible from construction to use. The soil, straw, and sand used in the main structure are all sourced from Chiayi. The entire process of building the stove is almost entirely done by stacking it layer by layer. The burning materials are also made from pruned branches of trees in the park and scrapped wooden structures. And the combustion principle design allows us to use less wood and achieve the same cooking effect. It is a stove that is very energy-efficient from the inside out!
Park Facilities
Green Pavilion
It was completed on July 21, 2018 and received the Gold Level Green Building Certification. It is currently the teaching venue for various activities of Chukou Nature Education Center.
