Aowanda Nature Center

Located in the Aowanda National Forest Recreation Area, this area is dominated by river terraces, with many rivers converging here. Mountain-surrounded, with beautiful scenery in four seasons--“spring cherry blossoms, summer waterfalls, autumn moon, and winter maples,” it provides the best habitat for wide lives. Climbing the Aowanda Suspension Bridge will render visitors great view of the beautiful valleys and Nenggao South Peak, definitely the best place for sightseeing in the area.

Take National Highway 1 south to Changhua Interchange (193K) → National Highway 3 → Wufeng Interchange (214K) → National Highway 6 Puli end → Turn left to Provincial Highway 14 → Wushe → Turn right to Route 83 → Aowanda
Route 2(northbound)
Go north on National Highway 1 via the east-west expressways (such as Provincial Highways 78, 82, and 84) → National Highway 3 → Wufeng Interchange (214K) → National Highway 6 at Puli → Turn left onto Provincial Highway 14 → Wushe → Turn right onto Route 83 → Aowanda.

The nine-seater bus runs on a fixed schedule every day and is suitable for nearby attractions such as Cingjing by reservation (station sign and timetable information: http://www.ntbus.com.tw/bs-tour.html). For information, please contact Nantou Bus at 049-2984031 ext. 29. Visitors who take the train (Taichung Station) and the High Speed ​​Rail (Taichung Station) can take the "Nantou Bus" to Cingjing, or take the bus to Puli first and then transfer to Cingjing. Get off at Wushe and then transfer to DRTS.

The Aowanda Suspension Bridge that crosses the forest classroom and the pine forest area connects the spectacular and beautiful scenery. Walking on the bridge, you can overlook the misty Nogao Mountain in the distance, or look down at the great power of erosion and transportation of the Wanda North and South Rivers, and look towards the green waves of five-needle pine trees. It is really beautiful!
