Jhihben Nature Center is in the Tropical Monsoon climate area, features in various plant species such as banyan trees, Bishop wood and lianas; evolving from which the natural phenomenon of wrapping and strangling characteristic of tropical plants, and the spectacular of “Thousand Root Banyan” made of aerial roots of white banyan, are all important landmarks in Jhihben. The buildings within the area is designed to integrate into its natural landscapes, while at the same time blend in the multi-ethnic culture of Taitung, in hope to realize the integration of nature and human culture.

By Bus
From Taitung City, take Jhihben Inner Hot Springs-bound Dingdong Bus (Mountain Line) to the last stop and walk to the recreation area. For more information, call: (089) 328-269.
Motorcycle rental
Visitors can also take the Taiwan Railway South Link Line to Zhiben Railway Station, then rent a motorcycle and ride in the direction of Zhiben Hot Spring to Zhiben National Forest Recreation Area (about 15 minutes by motorcycle).

Plant Ecological Park: There are plants named "Taitung" and related habitats - Our People's Taitung Area; folk plants commonly used by the Taiwanese people - Aboriginal Forest Area; and experience the wind as the theme, feel the sound of wind passing through the forest - Monsoon Forest Area. Forest Walk: The aerial plank road is designed with the image of leaf veins and can be close to the tree canopy.
